Prayer for Sacerdotal
or Religious Vocations

O Lord, send workers for your harvest, so that the commands of your only-begotten Son may always be obeyed and his sacrifice be everywhere renewed.

Look with favor upon your family, and ever increase its numbers.  Enable it to lead its sons and daughters to the holiness to which they are called and to work for the salvation of others. Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Prayer for Priests

Eternal God, please bless our priests,  who represent you on this earth. Make them more greatly aware of the grace that you pour out through them  when they minister the sacraments, and help them to fall more deeply in love with You after each and every Mass that they celebrate. Please strengthen our priests, who shepherd your flock, when they are in doubt of their faith, that they may be examples of your Truth and guide us always on the path to you.  We ask these things of You our Eternal Priest.    Amen.

A Prayer to Mary for Our Sisters

Oh Mary —Queen, Spouse, and Mother of God, we ask you to intercede with God for one of the Earth's most valuable and needed resources, our Sisters.

May their contemplative prayer be a source of power and energy which leads the entire world  to better see the face of God.

May their service be cheerful, effective, rewarding, and Christ-like, because He has entrusted to their care His sick, His poor, His troubled brothers and sisters, and His children.

May their purity and their burning love for Jesus give them unspeakable joy and ignite that same love in our hearts.

May their detachment from material things and their attachment to the divine King and His Kingdom shower both them and us with eternal riches.

May their obedience and fidelity to the Church and to God's will, give them strength, courage, peace, and contentment, and be an inspiration for all of us.

In short, may they be perfect brides of Christ —and more and more like you.   Amen.

A Marian Prayer for Deacons

Mary, who as teacher of faith by your obedience to the word of God, has cooperated in a remarkable way with the work of redemption, make the ministry of deacons effective by teaching them to hear the word and to proclaim it faithfully.  Mary, teach of charity, who by your total openness to God's call has cooperated in bringing to birth all the church's faithful, make the ministry and the life of deacons fruitful by teaching them to give themselves totally to the service of the people of God.  Mary, teacher of prayer, who through your maternal intercession
has supported and helped the church from her beginnings, make deacons always attentive to the needs of the faithful by teaching them to come to know the value of prayer.  Mary, teacher of humility, by constantly knowing yourself to be the servant of the Lord you were filled with the Holy Spirit, make deacons docile instruments in Christ's work of redemption by teaching them the greatness of being the least of all.  Mary, teacher of that service which is hidden, who by your everyday and ordinary life filled with love knew how to cooperate with the salvific plan of God in an exemplary fashion, make deacons good and faithful servants by teaching them the joy of serving the church  with an ardent love.
